At MTV, I was fortunate to work on the launch of three of the networks most iconic shows. I’d watch a season and focus away to define the show for the audience, creating episodic templates the team could fill for weekly promos.

The highlight of my time spent at MTV was integrating Beavis & Butthead into an original airing of the Jersey Shore. The brief was focused on disruption, and it introduced the duo to a new audience with 5% more viewers than expected at launch.

“Friends With No Benifits,” was an approach to help a new generation engage with a “Punk’d” franchise that wasn’t as mean spirited as it’s name sake, and featured a revolving cast of hosts.

Weekly episodes would get specific and follow the episodic templates I designed.

Ridiculousness used a skater as host. Skater’s have the best “lingo,” which led to this stamp approach.

A specific creative execution was needed to tie in to the highly rated MTV Video Music Awards.
